This property is located in Lewis & Clark County within the Upper Blackfoot Valley and only 13 miles from Lincoln, MT airport with a 4200' lighted runway. Grizzly Bear, lynx. wolverine, deer, elk, gray wolf, moose, Black Bear, Mountain Lion, Mountain Goat, and Mountain Sheep roam about these rugged ridge tops, gently sloping alpine meadows, thickly forested river bottoms and open grass parks. The Bob Marshall is classic horse country because of its vastness, relatively gently terrain, and wide midelevation river valleys with abundant forage for grazing. It is probably one of the few Wildernesses where horse users still outnumber hikers and backpackers. You'll find more than 1,000 miles of a well-developed trail systems, with maintained paths giving way to less well managed trails as you travel deeper into Montana's largest Wilderness. The Continental Divide bisects this region, making it an outdoorsman's dream. On the east slope lies Sun River Canyon and on the west, the beautiful Blackfoot Valley. Halfway between Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks, Lincoln is bordered by the magnificent Bob Marshall and Scapegoat Wilderness areas to the north and the renowned Blackfoot River to the South. You will find spectacular fishing in the Blackfoot River, alpine lakes and the many mountain drainages surrounding Lincoln, Your fishing skills can be tested on streams that are home to rainbow, cutthroat, and brown trout. Or you may prefer to hike, backpack, or mountain bike through acres of beautiful country. Snowmobiling dominates the scene when the snow begins to fall. More than 250 miles of groomed trails and limitless play areas make Lincoln a snowmobiler's dreamland.
