Lon Lundberg

Has represented buyers and sellers of Rocky Mtn. ranches, farms & mountain land since 1995 in Montana and investment properties since 1984. Lon's love of farm & ranch lands, mountains and the outdoors began in the 1970's at Cal-Poly University (S.L.O., CA) where he also developed his affection for the agricultural community and the 'ag' way of life (and began riding & roping). While he deeply loves the land, it is his desire to help his clients achieve their goals, applying and aligning his knowledge and abilities to their interests, that stirs him most. One of his 'purposes' in ag-real estate is to help agriculture survive and help families continue and grow in their farming or ranching enterprise. His concern is that the 'culture' of agriculture is very much at risk. Over three decades of experience in most facets of ranch, land & investment real estate, asset management, real estate lending, and business; especially in ranch, farm & investment properties.  He combines strong relational-skills with deep real estate acumen and in-depth analytic, financial and numeric skill-sets, paying close attention to detail. Believes income-producing ag-ground is one of the best investments and hedges against inflation today.

Lon's firm was chosen by the State of Idaho as the "Farmland Advisor" to the Idaho Dep't. of Lands in 2017. Lon has achieved the coveted CCIM, CLC, CLB, ABR and CPM professional designations, has supervised or trained over 40 brokers & agents and has a breadth and depth of both business and real estate understanding not common amongst ranch brokers. And he welcomes the opportunity, now more than ever, to put his vast real estate expertise to work for new clients, especially succession-oriented families. Past Chairman & Board member for several non-profit orgs, including Co-Founder & Chairman of two 501(c)3 non-profits that are going strong many years after turning over reins to others. In addition: has started & owned six businesses, including 3-retail, outdoor sports stores, still operating successfully on the same business plan. Has had broker licenses in 4 states & 4 securities licenses.

VP Acquisitions
Lon worked for me as Director of Acquisitions for DBSI for a little over a year. His performance was excellent, considering the bleak environment we faced in the capital markets. I found Lon highly competent in all aspects of real estate. Lon's work ethic and organization skills are outstanding. He would be a great asset to any real estate organization needing a seasoned, well rounded real estate professional.
Bill Fremgen Boise ID DBSI
C.O.O. & VP of Operations
While Lon worked at DBSI, he showed an excellent level of deal making ability. In his time with us, Lon worked as a Director of Acquisitions over several states. He started from scratch and quickly built a pipeline of office, retail, and industrial assets. He was able to network into the key deal makers in each of his markets. I would recommend Lon to anyone needing a senior executive in real estate. His background in acquisitions, leasing and brokerage give him experience few in the commercial real estate industry can match.
Brian Olsen Boise ID DBSI
VP Business Development
Lon is a positive minded, detail-oriented person who will drive through to the finish. He is disciplined, knows how to keep going in difficult circumstances and never gives up his 'can do' attitude.

As Senior Credit Officer for Capital One, I worked closely with Lon Lundberg with our Investor Real Estate Group. Lon was well-respected by his co-workers due to his professional and congenial manner. His project analysis was always thorough and timely. As a Credit Officer, I greatly appreciated Lon's hard work in the respect that he had a "special knack" for recognizing the deficiencies in a project and the costs to rectify them. For this, I'm very grateful to Lon for never causing me to "lose any sleep" for an approval or decline that I signed based on his advice.”
Lane Nalley Houston, TX Regions Bank
Lon is a very knowledgeable and seasoned real estate professional. Lon has the ability to see both sides of the equation and works hard to create a solution satisfactory for all parties involved. Lon and I also worked together while at Capital One Bank and I found Lon to be an invaluable resource in packaging and analyzing investment real estate transactions and assisting in the approval process. Lon is hard working, honest and a very good communicator, both written and verbal.
Tim Gillespie Austin, TX GREEN Bank
SVP, Investor Real Estate and Development Lending
Lon reported to me in my role as the department’s manager for Texas in Investor Real Estate of Capital One Bank, in Houston, Texas. Lon served as Vice President, managing relationships of more than 30 bankers in the Houston, Austin, and San Antonio market areas. Lon was an invaluable asset to our department in our role providing financing for commercial real estate projects during a period of time that proved to be the final months of a lengthy real estate boom in the country. At a time when many bankers were lending on virtually any deal that came along, I always knew I could rely on Lon’s seemingly innate understanding of what makes a real estate project successful, and his ability to accurately identify the potential risks, and develop sound mitigation strategies when appropriate. Even though we were a production-oriented department, Lon always adopted a very balanced lending approach, giving proper consideration to the needs of the customer within a framework of keeping the bank’s best interest in mind. As the manager of this department I took great comfort in knowing Lon always sought to uncover the truth behind each deal, identifying both its merits as well as its weaknesses. Along with his prudent lending approach, Lon possesses a broad and deep knowledge of real estate. Utilizing both his real estate training and his high level of general business acumen, Lon has a unique ability to develop a big picture understanding of a project. While Lon’s knowledge and technical skills are impressive, his personal attributes are just as important in making him a valuable member to any team he is a part of. He is an energetic and passionate man who is an active thinker, pursuing his work with an inquisitive mindset. At Capital One Bank he demonstrated a great ability to establish effective relationships with borrowers, contractors, appraisers, real estate agents, credit officers, sales management, and individuals in every role that we encounter in our work. In closing, let me say that Lon Lundberg is one of the finest colleagues I’ve had an opportunity to work with in my career.

Chief Operations Officer
I would give Lon Lundberg the highest recommendation for any management or director position. Lon is a true people builder who has worked hard to develop his skills as Chief Operating Officer, while working with me when I served as Operations Officer of Little Apple Technologies. His motivation and mentoring skills are some of the best I have seen in my experience. Lon directed and oversaw all training for the management, which included a multitude of additional companies besides Little Apple. Lon works hard and demands significant performance from his subordinates, and will spend the time necessary to ensure that they are properly trained. Lon is absolutely one of the most dynamic and successful individuals I have ever had the pleasure of working with. The managers in our organization were always inspired and prepared to meet new challenges because of his motivational style of management. Lon is a natural born leader. He is confident and decisive. He makes everyone around him better.
Elizabeth Edwards Manhattan, MT Little Apple Technologies (AmeriMont)
I really have not had the occasion to express in writing our gratitude for the many services you rendered as leasing agent and for your financial counseling in the several leases you prepared. The analytical ability and capacity to resolve possible conflicts in negotiation was remarkable through which you only displayed a spirit of congeniality. I was particularly impressed with your concern to the legal and possible conflicting situations in the sale of the Marre Building. I felt we were thoroughly protected. Many, many thanks, Lon.

Owner / Broker
It is my opinion that Lon is the brightest and smartest broker that I have encountered. He never ceased to amaze me with his genius for numerical computation and clear understanding of the most complex calculations required for an in-depth analysis of commercial real estate. He is not only incredibly knowledgeable about the commercial real estate profession, but he was also willing to explain and teach when required to do so. Lon adhered to the highest ethical standards, and stressed the importance of ethics and disclosure of agency to his agents on a consistent basis. I found Lon to be a person of unquestionable honesty and was an advocate of fair-play in all of his business dealings. Lon is a gentleman and a consummate professional. I was proud to be associated with Lon.
