 There are abundant outdoor activities within easy striking distance.  The Indian and Mettawee Rivers, which have public access and are stocked annually with trout, are nearly within walking distance from the property.  There are NY State Forests and Wildlife Management Areas scattered throughout Washington County, in addition to abundant recreational opportunities just over the border in Vermont (~1 mile to the east) on State and Federal lands.
