Water: The ranch has rural water that has serviced the improvements on the property. Brier Creek flows through the southeastern corner of the property. The creek has crystal-clear water that provides a water source for wildlife and offers an excellent spot to cool off on a hot summer day while enjoying the beauty of the landscape. There is a small pond in the secluded timber that could be stocked with hybrid bluegill for your grandkid’s fishing entertainment. A small creek flowing through the western finger of the property is another excellent source of water for all wildlife.
Wildlife: This property is home to the whitetail deer, which I have encountered on multiple occasions while walking the property. With the abundance of mast-producing trees, there is an abundant food source for wild turkeys that frequent the property, as well as deer and feral pigs. As you travel about the ranch, you will also notice signs of feral pigs rooting in the soil in search of food.
Land: Entering the property from Highway 32, you will be at the higher elevation of the ranch. As you travel southward throughout the ranch over the rolling terrain, you will end up at the lower elevation on the southern end of the property along Brier Creek. There is an abundance of tree species on the ranch, including pecan, oak, locust, persimmon, and others. The property has some very dense cover, but it is interspersed with some more open terrain that produces more grasses and forbes. A walk through this property is a joy for the nature lover who just enjoys soaking in creation.
Improvements: The property has a couple of mobile homes and some metal outbuildings that were built to house the family when they came in for special occasions. There is a shop for parking equipment, and for working on projects. There is a small set of pens with a loafing shed that could be used for a horse or two. There are some RV hookups available, which have been used in the past for families to park travel trailers when they come up to visit.
Taxes / Tax Year: $2,462/2025
Property Summary: Brier Creek Ranch is in a beautiful area of Oklahoma, only minutes from Lake Texoma, and within a couple of hours of Dallas/Fort Worth and Oklahoma City. For someone wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of the city for a weekend reset, it is a short drive to tranquility. Brier Creek is a beautiful, clear-water creek that is a sight to see, and also a great place to cool off on a hot summer day. The natural water throughout the ranch provides an excellent source of life to the game that lives on the property. The variety of mast-producing trees is both beautiful and life-giving to the wildlife in the area. There are also improvements with water and electricity available.
