While walking the trails you will see many buck rubs, scrapes and game trails following and crossing the main ATV paths. Opening up these trails with the existing thick cover will create paths of travel that are sure to draw the deer to your tree stand or ground blind locations.

The east end of the property you will find a beautiful open hardwood stand on the top of the creek bank before changing to hemlock into the creek bottom.  This creek bottom is a very distinct natural funnel for wildlife and a great spot to set up a campsite to enjoy the sound of the creek flowing with family around a fire! The species mix in the hardwood stand and creek bottom includes maple, cherry and birch with a few scattered oak trees throughout.  The hemlock bank creates an excellent vantage point for the game trails following the bottom. 

If you cross the eastern boundary line you will be able to continue your hunt or hike directly onto the 1,088-acre Jersey Hill State Forest. This state forest is well known for its deer, bear and turkey harvests each year.  The NYSDEC truck trail dead ends about 100 yards from the property which will allow you to easily access either side of the property. Along the county road just 100 yards to the north across the road you will find the 2,332-acre Gillies Hill State Forest. On foot you can recreate on nearly 3,500 acres!
